How to cook Potato Murukku | Chakuli | chakri | chakli

Murukku | Chakuli | chakri | chakli is a one of most favorite savory across India .

Ingredients of Potato Murukku | Chakuli | chakri | chakli

Potatoes 1o medium sized
Rice flour 1/2cup
Fresh coriander leaves 1 medium bunch
Green chillies 6
Salt to taste
Sesame seeds 3 tsp
Ghee 1tsp
Oil to deep fry

Preparation of Potato Murukku | Chakuli | chakri | chakli

1. Wash, boil, cool and peel the potatoes
2. Clean, wash and chop coriander leaves and green chillies
3. Make a smooth paste of coriander leaves and green chillies by adding a little salt
4. Mash the potatoes well and knead into a dough adding coriander green chilli paste and rice flour
5. Add seasame seeds andadjust salt and mix well
6. Apply a little ghee on your palms and shape dough into a smooth ball
7. Break off portions and place it in a sev maker, which has the starplate(chakli)
8. Gently press out spirals on small pieces of paper
9. Heat sufficient oil in a kadhai till moderately hot
10. Drop chaklis one by one and fry till golden and crisp
11. Drain on a tissue paper and cool and store in a air tight container
