Authentic goan masala egg curry with Coconut cream recipe

Goan egg curry is a special Indian egg recipe that is hailing from the sea state of Goa. Goan egg curry is decorated with onion and chillies.The gravy consists of tomotoes and spices. 

Ingredients of Authentic goan masala egg curry with Coconut cream recipe

Eggs 4-5
Coconut cream ½ cup
Coconut grated ¾ cup
Gratedtomatoes 2 cups
Garlic 5-6 pieces
Chopped ginger 2 tsp
Chopped onions 2 cups
Green chillies 2
Chopped coriander 2 tsp
Jeera 2 tsp
Tamarind paste 2 tsp
Red dry chilli 2-4
Coriander seeds 2 tsp
Gasagasa 1 tsp
Curry leaves few
Garam masala 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Oil ¼ cup
Salt to taste

Preparation of Authentic goan masala egg curry with Coconut cream recipe

1. Dry roast the coriander, gasagasa, red pepper, jeera and allow it to cool


2. Grind coconut, garlic, ginger and the roasted ingredients to a fine paste


3. Heat oil in a pan add chopped onions and curry leaves and the slit chillies and fry till the onion turns golden brown


4. Add the tomatoes and fry till the oil seperates out


5. Boil and deshell the eggs and cut into halves and keep aside


6. Add the ground paste and all the other ingredients except water to the pan and required water for the gravy and allow it to boil on medium flame for about 7-8 mins till it gets thickened


7. Add the tamarind juice and the coconut cream and boil for 3-4 mins and then add the eggs and cook for 3 mins and serve garnished with chopped coriander
