Amritsari Machli Finger Fish Fry Recipe

Amritsari fish fry orginates from the temple city of amritsar.Amritsari fish fry is special with the marinated fish added wiith the ingredieints prior to the frying.

 

Ingredients of Amritsari Machli Finger Fish Fry Recipe

Fish 1 kg
Oil for frying

For marinating

Lemon juice 75 ml
Grated ginger 1 tsp
Black pepper 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp

For the batter

Besan flour 100 gm
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Garlic paste 2 tsp
Sombu 2 tsp
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Red chillies 4
Baking powder 1 tsp
Ice water 100 ml
Salt to taste

 

Preparation of Amritsari Machli Finger Fish Fry Recipe

1. Clean and slice the fish to medium size pieces


2. Combine all the marinade ingredients and pour over the fish and keep it aside for 30 mins


3. Remove the fish from the marinade and pat dry


4. Combine all ingredients for the batter and coat the fish in the batter and set aside for 15 mins and fry in hot oil till golden brown and serve hot
