Vegetable biryani

Description
Vegetable biryani has got fans allover the world for its delightful taste.Here in this Vegetable biryani recipe the taste is explored to the maximum using a number of vegetables and spices. Vegetable biryani is best consumed warm without any side dish.
Ingredients
Basmati rice 2 cups
Water 4 cups
Cauliflower 100gms
Carrot 100 gms
Beans 100 gms
Potatoes 100 gms
Onions 3 medium sized
Bay leaf1no
Shahjeera ½ tsp
Ghee 5 tsp
Mint coriander leaves ½ cup
Salt to taste
To be pasted;
Ginger 3 cm
Garlic 8 cloves
Green chillies 3
Poppy seeds 2 tsp
Fennel 2 tsp
Coriander powder 2 tsp
Chilli powder ½ tsp
Cloves 4
Cardamon 4
Cinnamon 5 cm
Preparation
1. Soak the rice for fifteen minutes
2. Add salt and diced vegetables
3. Heat ghee in a kadhai
4. Add shahjeera and bay leaf
5. Add sliced onion and fry till brown
6. Add the ground masala and fry for 2 minutes
7. Add mint and coriander leaves. Remove from heat
8. Transfer the contents to th e cooker pan
9. Stir gently and place the lid . When the biryani is ready the switch will move to keep warm position
10. In pressure cooker one whistle is enough
