Hyderabadi Dum Egg Biryani is one of the most taken and favorite dish of the Hyderabadi cuisine.The steam cooked eggs and the vegetables added give its unique taste.
Ingredients for cooking Hyderabadi Dum Egg Biriani
1. Basmati rice ½ kg
2. Egg 10
3. Tomato 4
4. Onion 3
5. Whipped curd 1 cup
6. Oil ½ cup
7. Ghee ¼ cup
8. Salt to taste
9. Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
10. Ginger garlic paste 4 tsp
To be pasted:
1. Cinnamon 2
2. Cloves 2
3. Cardamon 6
4. Green chilli 5
5. Pudhina, coriander few
How to Prepare Hyderabadi Egg Biryani
1. Wash and soak the rice
2. Grind the ingredients to be pasted. Chop the onion and tomatoes
3. Break the eggs into a vessel add salt, grinded paste half tsp, turmeric powder a pinch and beat well
4. Now cook the eggs in a paniyaram plates as small paniyarams
5. After cooling the boiled egg mixture cut them into pieces
6. Heat oil and ghee and add chopped onions, grinded paste, tomato, curd, turmeric powder and salt and saute well
7. Add a glass of water and boil it and then add the egg pieces
8. In another vessel cook the rice to three fourth and add to the boiling ingredients and close it and cook by dhum method
