Tamil Potato Roast Recipe | Urulaikizhangu Roast

This Potato Roast dish comes from South india - Tamil Chetinadu Cuisine.Potato is one of those rare vegetables which can be considered universal for its consume.Here is Potato ( Urulaikizhangu Roast ) recipe which can be used for rice side dish.The dish is crispy and filling.


Ingredients for Chettinadu Potato Roast Recipe


1. Potato 3
2. Chilli powder 3 tsp
3. Grated coconut 1 tsp
4. Sombu 1/4 tsp
5. Garlic 1 piece
6. Bengal gram 2 tsp
7. Salt to taste
8. Oil 1/4 cup
9. Mustard 1/2 tsp
10. Sombu 1/4 tsp
11. Urad dhall 1 tsp

Prepare of Spicy Chettinadu Potato Fry

1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly with the skin and chop into fine pieces horizontally.
2. Grind coconut, sombu, chilli powder, garlic, bengal gram and required salt to a paste.
3. Mix this paste to the chopped pieces and mix well.
4. Heat oil in a kadhai add mustard, urad dhall, sombu and saute and the mixed pieces and fry on a low flame till they are cooked.
