Spicy Sorakkai Poriyal Recipe | Bottle Gourd Fry

Sorakkai ( Bottle Gourd ) Poriyal ie fry is a vegetable side dish recipe.This side dish is extremly easy to prepare and the dish can be sauted and onions can be added for flavor.Here bottle gourd is deep fried in oil and can be made into a delightful combination of both taste and flavor.
Ingredients for Sorakkai Poriyal Dish
1. Bottle gourd 250 gm
2. Green chilli 2
3. Onion 2
4. Coconut piece 2
5. Salt to taste
6. Mustard
7. urad dhall 1/2 tsp
8. Curry leaves few
Bottle Gourd Fry in Andhra Style
1. Peel, wash and finely chop bottlegourd and keep aside
2. Heat oil in a kadai aa mustard, urad dhall, chopped onion, chilli and saute till golden brown
3. Add the chopped pieces, required salt and cover with a lid and steam cook till the pieces are cooked
4. Add the grated coconut and mix well
5. Garnish with fried curry leaves
