Ingredients for Spicy kerala fish curry recipe ( Kerala Meen Kulambu )
Any medium sized fish 1 kg, Coconut 4 cups, Chilli powder 2-3 tsp, Pepper powder 1 tsp, Jeera powder 1 tsp, Garlic 7-8 cloves, Tamarind paste 2-3 tsp, Turmeric powder ¼ tsp, Curry leaves few, Mustard ¼ tsp, Fenugreek seeds ¼ tsp, Salt to taste, Coconut oil 3-4 tsp
Preparation of Spicy kerala fish curry recipe ( Kerala Meen Kulambu )
1. Grind the coconut, pepper, garlic, turmeric and jeera to a paste by adding little water
2. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds and then fenugreek seeds and allow it to splutter and to this add the curry leaves
3. Clean the fish and wash it with little turmeric powder and drain the excess water
4. Add the ground paste, tamarind juice and the rest of the ingredients and required water and allow it to boil
5. When it starts thickening add the cleaned pieces and close the lid and allow it to cook on a medium flame for about 10-13 mins and serve it hot with rice
