Maida Halwa Recipe | Maida Flour Halva
Maida Halva is a variety south Indian sweet recipe. This is special for its simplest of simplest preparation, its delicious taste. Here we have maid,jaggery and cashews added to give a special taste.
Ingredients for Maida Halva
1. Maida 1 cup
2. Jaggery ½ kg
3. Coconut milk 1 cup
4. Cashews as required
5. Cardamon powder ¼ tsp
How to Prepare Maida Halwa
1. Shift maida, add water and mix it thinly
2. Keep it aside for one hour. Again add little water and mix well and keep aside for six hours
3. The starch of the maida settles out and filter the water
4. To the starch add jaggery and boil till thick consistency
5. Add the coconut milk and mix well
6. When it is nonsticky add fried cashews and cardamon powder and transfer the contents to a greased tray and cool it
