Ingredients for preparing simple Vanilla Sponge Cake
Maida 3 cups
Baking powder ½ tsp
Sugar 11/2 cup
Eggs 4
Oil 11/2 cup
Ghee 3 tsp
Cardamon powder 1 tsp
Vanilla essence ¼ tsp
Lemon juice ½ tsp
Salt a pinch
Raisins and cashews few
How to Prepare | Cook Vanilla Sponge Cake
1. Preheat oven to 350 degree f. Grease a baking pan and dust with some flour
2. Break the eggs and beat well till frothy
3. Add sugar, oil and ghee and beat for 2-3 mins using a electric mixer
4. Sift maida, baking powder and salt in a bowl and add it slowly to the egg mixture by constant mixing such that no lumps are formed
5. Add the vanilla essence and the lemon juice and mix well
6. Add cardamon powder and mix well and transfer the ingredients to the greased pan and top with cashews and raisins and bake for about 40-45
mins or until brown
7. Take it out, slice and warm
