Semiya Pongal Recipe | South Indian Vegetarian Breakfast

Semiya Pongal is the delighful combination of two of the most popular south Indian food. Semiya is the popular breakfast among the Brahmin populations and Pongal is perhaps the most famous tamil Nadu food. Semiya Pongal is very easy and healthy recipe to prepare.
Ingredients for Healthy Vermiclilli Pongal Breakfast Recipe
1. Semiya ( Vermicelli )150 gms
2. Green gram dhall 200 gms
3. Pepper 25 gms
4. Jeera 25 gms
5. a small piece
6. Salt 2 tsp
7. Cashews 100 gms
8. 250 gms
9. Curry leaves few to taste
How to Prepare | Cook Semiya Pongal
1. Wash and cook the dhall and smash it and keep aside
2. Roast the semiya in a kadhai and keep seperately
3. Heat ghee in a pan add pepper, jeera, cashews and chopped ginger andsaute well
4. Add curry leaves and semiya and required salt
5. Add the smashed dhall and required water and mix well
6. Cook on stirring continuously till the water drains out
