Feng shui system in apartments could not be limited to the shallow method of placing a laughing Buddha or a mythical Chinese animal in the corner of your apartments. Feng shui is more than that.
While square, oblong or eight sided buildings are good to reside, irregular shaped buildings should be avoided.
L shaped buildings are incomplete and hence should be avoided. The back of your building should be protected by a hill or another apartment. A taller building in front of your apartment could cause negative energy. Apartments located near a water body are very benefitting. Other than basements, parking area should never be a part of the buildings.
The five elements of feng shui which are the Water, wood, earth, metal and fire could be placed by representations in accordance with your personal feng shui. While a vase with cut flowers represents water with earth combination, metal fountains could represent water with metal combination.
Since a cluttered cabinet is a source of negative energy, Cabinets should be properly organized else it would drain the positive energy from the rest of the room. Things should be arranged in logical order and prioritized according to the frequency of usage. Earth could be represented by Jade statues in the dining table or by rectangular shaped dining table, since rectangle represents the earth. Wood could be represented in the child’s room with the colour green.
