Dining hall is a place where one takes his meals and spends quality time with family and friends. This room should be totally free from distractions. The flow of energy in this part of the house should be subtle, but not stagnant.
While venturing to set up the dining room in compliance with feng shui, the shape of the room, the colours of objects, the lighting, curtains, tables, crockery and mirrors come into account.
Mirror placed in the dining hall would not only improve the flow of chi, but also double the food and signs of riches. The dining room should not be too close to the front door. The table size should be such that there is enough space to walk around the table. A crystal ball or chandelier would balance the chi in the room. A round dining table symbolizes stability. Avoid sharp angled tables in the dining room. Dining chairs should be even in number. Old dark and heavy furniture should be avoided in the dining room. A cramped dining room may create pressure in the family and create digestion problems. The dining room is the only place where the feng shui aspect of empty centre is ruled out.
